0 Apple Introduces Genius Tab For iPad App Store

Apple has introduced a new “Genius” feature for its App Store application on the iPad.  The concept is similar to other Genius offerings from Apple as on iTunes, iPhone and iPod Touch App Store but the interface is slick and fits the iPad’s screen-real estate very well. The new tab offers automatic suggestions on applications users might be interested in based on other applications that have already downloaded.

The users on their iPad will find the ‘Genius’ tab prominently displayed at the bottom of the iPad. The Genius feature has been placed to the right of the ‘Updates’ tab. The placement is more accessible than on the iPhone or iPod Touch, where Genius does not have its own separate tab at the bottom. Instead, users of those smaller devices must choose the ‘Featured’ option, and then select ‘Genius’ from the top row. The Genius tab aims to make it easier for users to find the new applications on the App Store, which has become extremely large with more than 225,000 options. iPad applications is now available in App Store.
