Let’s take a look at the demo video of Notion Ink Adam -
Personally, I liked the design of the tablet, and it is much better than other Android tablets. However, its user interface as well as buttons are less responsive in the demo video, which is not what any tablet user would expect from touch screen device. It simply looks like a prototype device. They tried too hard to demo several features, but failed to make any kind of impact on end users.
Adam tablet will be launched at CES 2011, which is scheduled on January 6, 2011. The company is based in Bangalore, India, but US users will get first priority to experience the device. Of course, Indian tech followers are not really happy with company’s policy.
This year has been a revolution in tablets section, where Apple’s iPad is still giving tough competition to newly released tablet devices. Apple’s upcoming iPad 2 will be even better than the old iPad and is expected to arrive in Feb. 2011. Notion Ink’s Adam doesn’t look like a strong contender at this moment, but they will hopefully develop something more competitive in coming years.
