0 Apple to release iOS 4.2 on November 7th

Apple team has been working on iOS 4.2 firmware for past few months, and in this period they have developed several patches to fix some bugs and errors in iOS 4.1.
Many iPod Touch and iPhone users have recently reported the alarm issue, which occurs due to the Daylight Saving Time (DST) change. Apple has now acknowledge the issue and has suggested a temporary solution to resolve the issue -
To resolve this behavior for existing alarms, set the repeat interval to Never. You will need to reset these alarms for each day you need them.

In the same update, they have also confirmed that iOS 4.2 will be released on November 7th, 2010. While responding to aforementioned alarm bug, Apple team said -
After November 7th, 2010, you can set your alarms to repeat again.
Now, that’s a good news for all iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad users. iPhone Dev team is also working on the iOS 4.2 jailbreak and unlock solutions. Read here for iOS 4.2 jailbreak and unlock details.
Update: Many sources have been claiming that Apple might release iOS 4.2 on this weekend. However, one of our readers pointed out that DST will be ending on November 7th, which means iOS 4.1 users will probably not see the alarm bug issue again on their devices. So, Apple may or may not release iOS 4.2 update on the same date.
