0 Hotmail for iPhone: Supports Push Mail and Sync – coming on Monday

In an interview with CNET, Microsoft has conformed that they are going to introduce the hotmail app for iPhone users which will support push mail via ActiveSync. Microsoft manager Dharmesh Mehta said – this new feature will be released on Monday. Well, the AcriveSync supports POP or IMAP connection. When the mail arrives on Hotmail it will notify and displays mails on the phone and respectively when you read mails from your phone, it will be marked as read on Hotmail and vice versa.

This will likely work on all iDevices which support exchange feature. The new Exchange AtiveSync sync Windows Live contacts, Windows Live calendar and on some devices tasks as well as email. And Yes! it’s the first time that you can sync calendar and contacts with a device without needing a separate sync app.
