0 Clearwire iSpot Brings 4G Mobile To Apple Devices

Clearwire has announced a new mobile iSpot 4G, Wi-Fi hotspot that is specifically designed to work with Apple devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Despite being designed for Apple devices, the hotspot will work with any Wi-Fi device. The hotspot is called the iSpot and has unlimited access to the Clearwire 4G Wi-Max network. The iSpot can support up to eight devices at one time.

Specifications to the iSpot includes

• 4 hours of continuous use time
• Measures 4.33 x 2.44 x 0.71 inches and weighs 4.58 oz
• 64/128 bit WEP, WPA and WPA2 security
• 1830 mAh battery
• 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi
• 150 foot range

The iSpot supports connection speeds of 3 to 6Mbps in covered areas. The iSpot device will be available next week at CLEAR retail stores and authorized dealers for $99.99.
